JOSH FOLEY ABSTRACT WORKSHOP
9 participants welcomed Josh to our wonderful Studio 2Eleven on a cold Saturday morning. This workshop was based on Josh’s methods of beginning a painting with acrylics then using oil paints once the acrylic base dried and working on from that. It was interesting to see the variety of paintings begun using one of three of Josh’s examples then to see the progress made as the day went on. Josh was extremely generous in the sharing of his style and methods and we were all entranced when he used a heat gun on the wet oil paint on one of his examples which produced a beautiful misty, smoky effect within a landscape.
I’m sure we all learnt something from this workshop - thanks to Josh for travelling so far on a cold winter morning to share his extensive knowledge - and once again, more new BCAG members!
